I cannot understand why do so many people trust online payment systems?

I cannot understand why do so many people trust online payment systems? E-currency becomes more and more popular but where is a guarantee that it wouldn’t burst one day as a balloon? All of us only hear that the currency is fully backed with gold, silver, dollars, and etc. But they are just the words. In the reality their e-currency is just a way to pump the money. I don’t believe them at all, they are good only for insignificant payments, for example as a tool to pay for a mobile phone or to buy pizza. I cannot understand those people who load a small fortune in those companies, in my opinion, they are too rich or just crazy. How can they believe those systems after the stories with such systems as Neteller, e-gold… And do you remember the time when everybody was sure that e-gold will last eternally and so on. And nobody could believe in the fact that it was the end. Are you not suspicious about the policy of the US government which tries to oppress the whole e-commerce? Why they do nothing to develop it? On the contrary the authorities think that the whole e-commerce is illegal as the most part of money is being laundered via those systems. Just see how many people are playing in online casino, including schoolchildren. It is illegal and causes addiction. The latest hit is the Internet and mobile banking. I’m too skeptical to this. How does the online banking can be secure? Today there are a lot of offers to invest digital money to some fond. And don’t forget about the hackers which never dream.
